I have bet on countless of hands of vingt-et-un. I started sneaking into the gambling dens when I was still underage. I have wagered on online vingt-et-un, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short time. With all that said I have still spent a lot of funds at twenty-one. The gambling dens have made it very hard to defeat the house.
I still enjoy the game and wager on a frequent basis. Over the years I have played a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You definitely will not get flush with this tactic or defeat the house, however you will have a lot of fun. This method is centered on the idea that vingt-et-un seems to be a match of runs. When you’re on fire your hot, and when you are not you’re NOT!
I play basic strategy blackjack. When I lose I wager the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand. If I don’t win again I bet the table minimum on the successive hand again etc. Once I hit I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the initial wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original wager. I continue betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I return the action back down to the original bet.
I am very disciplined and never "chicken out". It gets very enjoyable sometimes. If you succeed at a few hands in a row your wagers go up very quick. Before you know it you are gambling $100-200per hand. I have had fantastic runs a number of times now. I departed a $5 table at the MGM a few years ago with $750 after 60 mins using this tactic! And a few weeks ago in Macau I left a table with $1200!
You must understand that you can give up much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more thrilling. And you will be astonished at the runs you see playing this way. Below is a guide of what you would wager if you kept winning at a 5 dollar game.
Wager $5
Take 5 dollar paid to you, leave the first five dollar bet
Wager five dollar
Leave five dollar paid to you for a total wager of 10 dollar
Bet $10
Take 10 dollar paid to you, leave the original $10 wager
Wager ten dollar
Leave $10 paid-out to you for a total wager of 20 dollar
Bet twenty dollar
Take twenty dollar paid to you, leave the initial 20 dollar wager
Bet $20
Leave 20 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 40 dollar
Wager $40
Take $40 paid-out to you, leave the original $40 wager
Wager forty dollar
Leave 40 dollar paid to you for a total wager of $80
Bet eighty dollar
Take $80 paid-out to you, leave the first eighty dollar wager
Bet eighty dollar
Leave 80 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of one hundred and sixty dollar
Bet 160 dollar
Take $160 paid-out to you, leave the first 160 dollar bet
If you left at this moment you would be up $315 !!
It is difficult to go on a run this long, but it often happen. And when it does you must NOT alter and lower your wager or the end result will not be the same.
