Chemin de Fer Essential Basics – Part One

[ English ]

The basic concept of the card game is to be dealt cards totaling up to twenty one. Every player is assigned two cards. When a gambler is dealt a 9 or less and an Ace they have been dealt a soft hand. When the player receives no Ace it is referred to as a hard hand. As soon as the cards have been given to all players at the blackjack table, which includes the dealer, every gambler is provided the chance to make 1 of six decisions:

Taking another card (Hit): When a black jack player says "hit me" the croupier will deal them another card, if the adding of that card causes the total greater than twenty-one the player will have lost and be excluded from the game, if the card pushes the total to twenty-one the player is the winner and if the value of the hand hasn’t yet reached 21 they’re still in the game.

Keeping the hand you have been dealt: If a black jack player is happy with the cards they will stay. As soon as this has happened the croupier will reveal his/her cards and the player who has gotten twenty-one or the closet to twenty-one will acquire a win.

Doubling Down: A blackjack player might request to double down which increases the bet by one hundred percent they have placed. As soon as you have taken this action you can only be given 1 additional card. The details of doubling down are often specified by the blackjack table or casino game rules so before playing make certain you’re comfortable with the casino rules. If you are betting at an on-line casino this is normally very simple.

Stay tuned for part 2.
